don’t want to be a moses, I want to be a joshua
I had the wonderful privilege of meeting with the Pastor to the Pastors in the city of Peterborough, David Morris today. David is by most standards an old man, he is in his late 70’s I would guess, he has suffered a few health set backs in these past years, but he presses on!
David is one of the most gentle yet powerful men I know. He is always right in the thick of things, always praying for a mighty move of God on our City. This past weekend, Glenn Duncan (YFC/CITC/KHOP Staff) organized a prayer field party for youth, along with a few youth pastors and a bunch of youth. About a hundred youth showed up to pray in the pouring rain.
Right there in the middle of things was David Morris, praying right along with them in the field party. When I celebrated this with him today I said “David, you don’t want to be a Moses, you want to be a Joshua and step into this new movement of God!” He said, “You better believe it brother!”
What an inspiration to me! I DON’T WANT TO BE ON THE SIDELINES OR ON THE MOSES SIDE OF THIS EITHER! I want to be right in the thick of things when the Spirit of the Lord moves and He is beginning to move . . . in the lives of many youth, right now. Are you in? Do you want to be a Moses or a Joshua?
Pray to the Lord of the Harvest to raise up harvesters for the Harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Be a worker!
